The Healthy Lucas County coalition of community health improvement organizations is asking everyone who lives or works in Lucas County to complete a brief survey to assess the community’s overall quality of life. The survey includes questions about the COVID-19 pandemic, racism, other discrimination, health care, economic opportunity, safety and other aspects of the community. The survey also asks respondents to identify their main quality of life concern in Lucas County.
Results of the survey will be used to identify and develop ways to improve the community’s health and help prepare Healthy Lucas County’s 2021-2024 Lucas County Community Health Improvement Plan. To develop the plan, Healthy Lucas County and its partners will assess Lucas County’s health needs, determine available resources, address gaps, and establish community health improvement priorities and action steps to benefit everyone. Additionally, the 2021-2024 Lucas County Community Health Improvement Plan will outline ways to address disparities in the community and incorporate measurements to determine whether progress is being made.
To help develop the 2021-2024 Lucas County Community Health Improvement Plan, the Healthy Lucas County Executive Committee and its partners will use findings from the 2019/2020 Lucas County Community Health Assessment. Healthy Lucas County expects to release the 2021-2024 Lucas County Community Health Improvement Plan in fall 2021.
The quality of life survey is available online at bit.ly/LucasQuality until March 8, 2021.
